MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATIONS

International standards that lay down the criteria for Suzano Pulp and Paper’s Management System, conferring greater credibility to the company’s capacity to supply products and services that meet the needs and expectations of clients, while upholding environmental quality and prioritizing the health and safety of our employees.

ISO9001

Defines the requirements for the quality management system, with the goal of managing the needs and expectations of clients to ensure their maximum satisfaction.

ISO14001

Standard that defines the requirements for setting up and operating an Environmental Management System. It enables organizations to build a framework to protect the environment and rapidly respond to changes in environmental conditions.

ISO 17025

The standard is published internationally by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) jointly with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and attests that laboratories responsible for analyzing the calibration and tests perform their tasks with precision to obtain high-quality results.

OHSAS18001

Standard that defines the minimum requirements for an Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SGSSO), ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for own and outsourced workers.

CERFLOR

 

The Brazilian Forest Certification Program (Cerflor) certifies that the forest management and chain of custody meet the environmental, economic and social criteria and indicators established by the Brazilian Technical Standards Association (ABNT), which are integrated to the Brazilian Compliance Assessment System and Brazil’s Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro), and are recognized internationally by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Certification that covers forestry activities, from the verification of compliance with environmental, economic and social issue to the distribution of the product along the chain of custody and responsible forest management.

Suzano Papel e Celulose S.A. has reports and certificates issued by ISEGA certifying that its papers meet Brazilian and international requirements for storing food. Paper production also complies with the requirements of Decree 177/99 of the Brazilian Food and Drug Administration (Anvisa), the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the German Federal Institute (BRF).
