Suzano Pulp & Paper receives Bonds & Loans Latin America Award

The company was recognized for its 30-year bond issue

At an event held in São Paulo in June, our company was recognized in the Bonds & Loans Latin America Awards in the category Sub-Investment Grade Corporate Bond Deal of the Year. Marcelo Bacci, our Chief Financial & Investor Relations Officer, was presented the award by Jonathan Brandon, editor of the GFC Media Group.

The event was attended by executives and experts, who presented their experiences in financial deals. Marcelo Bacci gave a presentation on the US$300 million issue of 30-year Senior Notes, which is an unprecedented duration for a pulp and paper company in emerging markets, which was why the company garnered the award. In the lecture, he presented Suzano Pulp & Paper’s objectives in the capital markets, liability management and critical factors for success.

The Bonds & Loans Latin America Awards recognizes, in 17 categories, Latin America’s notable financial deals of the previous year. The selection process is based on a rigorous analysis of various factors, such as where the deal was originated, crediting offerings issued in countries with historically low volumes of bond issues.
