1996 - ISO 14001 certification, first company in the Americas to obtain such certification in any sector and the first worldwide in the pulp and paper sector to be awarded such certification.
1998 - Mucuri Mill selected as a reference worldwide for ISO in forestry management under the standard ISO TR 14061.
2000 - Millennium Business Award for Environmental Achievement, presented by the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) in collaboration with UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme)
2001 - PNQ - Brazilian Quality Award, equivalent to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (USA) and to the European Quality Award.
