Suzano Papel e Celulose elected one of the Best Companies to Start a Career in Brazil

We were elected one of the five Best Companies to Start a Career in Brazil, according to the 2018 edition of Você S/A Guide. The world’s only ranking focused on youth aged between 18 and 26, it gave us special mention in the Employer Branding category, which evaluates initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining top professionals who are motivated to do their best for the organization. The list of winners was announced today (Dec. 5).

In 2018,we participated in 146 university events, reaching out to around 20,000 students directly and indirectly. We also maintain partnerships with nearly 30 junior companies. For Rosely Loiola Poletti, our Executive People & Management Manager, the award is the result of our efforts to have an inspiring workplace that fosters the development of our employees. “We seek professionals who take risks, are aligned with our purpose and are willing to grow with us.That is why we encourage proactivity and collaborative recognition,so that employees take on new challenges and incorporate an attitude of true owners of the company,” she added.

The award assesses youth management practices and the expectations of young professionals entering the job market. Besides analyzing the 12categories that verify the HR policies and practices adopted by companies, the survey also considers general information about the organization.

The ranking announced by Você S/A adopts the methodology of the business school Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA), through its MBAin Human Resources Program, the People Management Studies Program (Progep) and the Teaching and Learning Lab of the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (FEA/USP).
